Definition
A physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of primary nutritional diseases (e.g., undernutrition, overnutrition, and genetic or acquired errors of metabolism) and adjunctive nutritional therapeutics (e.g., nutritional therapy or support of diseases states with a metabolic component).
